Winter storm warning in effect for:

  • Falardeau - Mont-Valin area
  • Rivière-Éternité - Petit-Saguenay area
  • Sainte-Rose-du-Nord area
  • Tadoussac - Baie-Sainte-Catherine area
  • Ville de Saguenay area

Hazardous winter conditions are expected.

A winter storm will bring a total of 25 to 40 centimetres of snow and blowing snow over several areas of Central and Eastern Quebec. The regions from Charlevoix to the Lower North Shore will receive the most significant amounts of snow. For their part, the Mauricie and Quebec city regions will experience a period of freezing rain after the snow. This freezing rain could affect the Gaspé Peninsula by this evening, then the Lower North Shore Wednesday morning. Conditions should improve Wednesday afternoon.

Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve. Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions.

Winter storm warnings are issued when multiple types of severe winter weather are expected to occur together.
