Winter storm warning in effect for:

  • Falardeau - Mont-Valin area
  • Rivière-Éternité - Petit-Saguenay area
  • Sainte-Rose-du-Nord area
  • Tadoussac - Baie-Sainte-Catherine area
  • Ville de Saguenay area

Hazardous winter conditions are expected.

A winter storm developing over the American Midwest will bring 20 to 35 centimetres of snow along with blowing snow over parts of Central and Eastern Quebec beginning this evening and through Wednesday. The Charlevoix and Les Escoumins regions will get the highest amounts of snow. The regions of the Mauricie and Quebec City could see a period of freezing rain after the snow on Tuesday. This freezing rain could affect the Gaspé Peninsula Tuesday evening.

Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve.

Winter storm warnings are issued when multiple types of severe winter weather are expected to occur together.
