Winter storm warning in effect for:

  • Falardeau - Mont-Valin area
  • Rivière-Éternité - Petit-Saguenay area
  • Sainte-Rose-du-Nord area
  • Tadoussac - Baie-Sainte-Catherine area
  • Ville de Saguenay area

Hazardous winter conditions are expected.

A winter storm developing over the American Midwest will bring 25 to 40 centimetres of snow and blowing snow over parts of Central and Eastern Quebec beginning this evening and through Wednesday. The regions from Charlevoix to Les Escoumins will get the highest amounts of snow. The regions of the Mauricie and Quebec City could see a period of freezing rain after the snow Tuesday morning. This freezing rain could affect the Gaspé Peninsula Tuesday evening.

Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve. Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions.
