Winter storm warning in effect for:
- Forillon National Park - Gaspé area
- Percé area
Hazardous winter conditions are expected.
Snowfall amounts of 30 to 50 centimetres as well as strong winds and blowing snow are expected until Tuesday.
Snow at times heavy combined with winds of up to 90 kilometres per hour will produce zero visibilities in widespread blowing snow.
High winds could reach up to 110 kilometres per hour in the Blanc-Sablon area and give zero visibilities in blowing snow beginning early Tuesday morning.
Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve. Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
Winter storm warnings are issued when multiple types of severe winter weather are expected to occur together.
