Heat Warning in effect for:

Heat event early this week. Maximum temperatures: 29 to 31 degrees Celsius. Minimum temperatures: 16 to 18 degrees Celsius. Timing: Monday to Tuesday evening, lasting until Wednesday for some regions. Discussion: Hot daytime temperatures along with warm overnight temperatures are expected beginning Monday. This is the first heat event of the year for some regions. The risks are greater for young children, pregnant women, older adults, people with chronic illnesses and people working or exercising outdoors. Watch for the effects of heat illness: swelling, rash, cramps, fainting, heat exhaustion, heat stroke and the worsening of some health conditions. Drink plenty of water even before you feel thirsty and stay in a cool place. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
