Special weather statement in effect for:

  • Prescott and Russell

Mixed bag of wintery precipitation Saturday into Sunday morning.

Light snow is expected to develop over eastern Ontario including the National Capital Region Saturday morning then change to freezing rain later in the day. Several hours of freezing rain are possible, especially Saturday evening.

The freezing rain may change to rain for a period Saturday night before changing back to snow early Sunday and tapering to flurries by mid day. Several centimetres of snow are possible.

Travel conditions will deteriorate during the day Saturday.

The winter weather will be caused by an intense low pressure system that will track across the lower Great Lakes.
