Rainfall warning in effect for:

  • Ottawa North - Kanata - Orléans
  • Ottawa South - Richmond - Metcalfe

Significant rainfall expected through tonight.

Additional rainfall amounts of 20 to 40 mm are expected by early Friday morning.

Total rainfall amounts of 50 to 60 mm are expected by early Friday morning with a few localities receiving near 75 mm.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Watch for possible washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.
