Heat Warning in effect for:

  • Gogama - Foleyet

Temperatures reaching 30 degrees Celsius are expected.

Hot conditions continue into the weekend.

A hot and moderately humid air mass has moved into the area and will remain in place through the weekend. Daytime temperatures are expected to reach 29 or 30 degrees. Overnight lows are forecast to fall to the upper teens providing little relief from the heat. Humidity levels are not expected to be particularly high, though humidex values to the mid-thirties will still be possible.

The passage of a cold front Sunday night will bring cooler temperatures and lower humidity for Monday and Monday night. The cool down is expected to be brief however, as high heat and humidity are forecast to return for the middle part of next week.

Extreme heat affects everyone.

Never leave people or pets inside a parked vehicle.

Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature or humidity conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
