Blizzard warning in effect for:
A strong low pressure system tracking northwestward through Foxe Basin is bringing strong northerly winds gusting to 70 km/h, snow and blowing snow to Naujaat. These near zero visibility blizzard conditions are expected to last until Wednesday morning before the wind tapers off.
Travel is expected to be extremely hazardous due to widespread poor visibility. Avoid outdoor activities. Public Safety Canada encourages everyone to make an emergency plan and get an emergency kit with drinking water, food, medicine, a first-aid kit and a flashlight.
