Alerts for: Annapolis County

Statements

11:08 AM AST Friday 22 January 2021
Special weather statement in effect for:

  • Annapolis County

Significant snowfall today.

Total snowfall: 10 to 15 cm, likely higher in some areas of heaviest snow bands.

Locations: Annapolis, Kings, and Halifax counties.

Time span: ending this evening.

Remarks: Snow, at times heavy, is falling across parts of Nova Scotia today as a small but vigorous weather system develops and passes just off the Atlantic coast.

Given the nature of this system, the location of heaviest snowfall is difficult to pin down, and as such this statement may need to be extended to additional regions or upgraded to a snowfall warning for some areas. Regardless, the timing of the snow will likely have impacts on the evening commute in the Halifax Regional Municipality and the surrounding areas.
