Blowing snow advisory in effect for:
- Cumberland County North and Cobequid Pass
Poor visibility in snow and blowing snow is expected or occurring in some locations.
Reduced visibilities in blowing snow beginning this evening.
Strong northeasterly winds combined with periods of snow will give reduced visibilities, especially in onshore winds. Conditions should deteriorate by this evening and persist into Sunday.
Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.
Blowing snow advisories are issued when winds are expected to create blowing snow giving poor visibility to 800 metres or less for at least 3 hours.
