Snowfall warning in effect for:
- Miramichi and area
Snowfall with total amounts of 15 to 25 cm is expected.
Time span: Monday morning until Tuesday morning.
Locations: northern New Brunswick
Remarks: snow, heavy at times, will spread eastward across northern New Brunswick beginning early Monday morning. Temperatures will rise above zero in some places Monday afternoon which will cause partial melting of the snow as it falls, which could make it heavy to move. Snow tapers to flurries Tuesday morning then strong northerlies develop which ushers in a very cold airmass. Some blowing snow is possible on Tuesday morning.
Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Rapidly accumulating snow will make travel difficult. Take frequent breaks and avoid strain when clearing snow.
Snowfall warnings are issued when significant snowfall is expected.
