Special weather statement in effect for:
- Kouchibouguac National Park
Wintery weather for Wednesday night and Thursday...
A low pressure system will approach the Maritimes from the southwest on Wednesday. At this time it appears much of the province will see snow beginning Wednesday night and continue into Thursday, with a risk of ice pellets and freezing rain over eastern parts of the province on Thursday. The most likely areas to see the heaviest snowfall will be the eastern half of the province. As this system has yet to form, there are still a range of possible scenarios that could significantly change the precipitation types and amounts before it arrives in the region Wednesday night.
The public is advised to monitor future forecasts as this system and its impacts become better defined over the next couple of days.
Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to email@example.com or tweet reports using #NBStorm.
