- South Klondike Highway - Yukon border to White Pass
5 to 10 cm of snow has fallen across much of the southwest Yukon since last night as northerly winds gusting to 60 km/h have brought cooler air to the region. Snow has eased off at Beaver Creek so the advisory is ended there but continues over the remaining areas as further amounts near 5 cm are expected. As well northerly winds gusting as high as 60 to 70 km/h are expected to continue through tonight giving reduced visibilities in blowing snow. Snow should finally ease Wednesday morning as winds also gradually taper off.
The public is advised that this has the potential to be a significant event. Travellers are advised to exercise due caution and to notify someone of your travel plans.
