Wind warning in effect for:

  • North Coast - coastal sections

Strong winds that may cause damage will develop tonight.

A vigorous low pressure system will approach the Alaskan Panhandle tonight. As the frontal wave associated with this low passes through the north coast of British Columbia, winds will briefly peak at southeast 90 km/h gusting to 110.

Winds will ease and veer to the southwest overnight following the passage of the front.

High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break.

Wind warnings are issued when there is a significant risk of damaging winds.
