By 3:30 p.m. NST Sunday quasi-stationary low 979 mb located over
Labrador Coast.
At 3:30 p.m. NST today deepening low 998 mb located over the
southwestern Grand Banks.
By 10:00 a.m. NST Sunday departing low 996 mb located east of Funk
Island Bank.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:19 PM NST 30 November 2024 A low pressure system over Central Labrador will track northeastwardto lie nearly stationary over the Mid Labrador Coast tonight, where
it will remain nearly stationary and deepen. Gale force
southwesterlies will redevelop over northern and western waters on
Sunday.
A second low pressure system will cross the Grand Banks tonight from
southwest to northeast. Strong to gale force southwesterlies will
develop in the vicinity of this low.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank,
and the Grand Banks.
