By 8:00 p.m. AST Tuesday low 974 mb located south of Laurentian Fan.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 7:41 PM AST 16 February 2026 A low southwest of Georges Bank will deepen as it tracks just southof the slope waters tonight and Tuesday. Gale to storm force
easterlies will develop north of the low and become strong to gale
force northerlies in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
East Scotian Slope - southern half, Banquereau - southeastern half,
and Laurentian Fan. Gale warnings are in effect for Georges Bank,
West Scotian Slope, Sable, East Scotian Slope - northern half, and
Banquereau - northwestern half.
