of Funk Island Bank.
At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight ridge located over the Maritimes.
By 8:00 p.m. NST Saturday ridge located over northeastern
Newfoundland.
At 3:30 p.m. NST Saturday approaching low 999 mb located over the
Gaspe Peninsula.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:57 AM NST 7 November 2025 An intense low pressure system east of Funk Island Bank will tracknortheastward and stall northeast of the district this afternoon then
meander around that vicinity through Saturday. Gale force westerlies
to northwesterlies behind the low will gradually diminish as the low
pulls away and eventually starts to weaken.
Large waves and pounding surf will produce higher than normal water
levels along coastal areas of South Coast, East Coast, and Northeast
Coast today, especially near high tide this morning.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters.
Marine interests are also advised that a high water level warning is
in effect for South Coast.
