Issued 4:00 AM NST 19 January 2022 Today Tonight and Thursday At 4:00 a.m. NST today low 980 mb located near the South Labrador
Sea.
By 4:00 p.m. NST today low 983 mb located north of Labrador Sea.

At 4:00 a.m. NST today trough from low located on a line north-south
over the Northwest Labrador Sea.
By 4:00 p.m. NST today trough from low located on a line north-south
over the East Labrador Sea.

At 4:00 a.m. NST today ridge located over Quebec.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Thursday ridge located over northern Labrador.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:56 AM NST 19 January 2022 A low pressure system over the South Labrador Sea will move to lie
north of the district today. A trough extending northward and
southward from the low will move eastward to cross the Labrador Sea
today and tonight. Gale to storm force southeasterlies will persist
ahead of the trough, then shift to strong to gale force
northwesterlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
East Labrador Sea. Gale warnings are in effect all remaining waters
except Lake Melville.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all regions with open water.
