Wind westerly 15 to 20 knots diminishing to light near noon then increasing to southeast 15 near midnight. Wind increasing to east 25 early Wednesday morning and to east 35 late Wednesday morning. Wind diminishing to southeast 25 Wednesday afternoon then veering to south 15 to 20 Wednesday evening.
Rain beginning Wednesday morning.

By 10:00 a.m. ADT Wednesday trough located east of Newfoundland.
At 10:00 a.m. ADT today low 1012 mb located over the Great Lakes.
By 10:00 a.m. ADT Wednesday deepening low 1004 mb located over
the Gulf of Maine.
Marine Weather StatementIssued 9:36 AM ADT 23 October 2018 A low pressure system will approach the district from the west today
reaching Cape Cod by this evening. The disturbance will then start to
intensify before tracking northeastward this evening. There remains
some uncertainty over the exact track and intensity of this system.
Current model guidance suggests it will track over Nova Scotia
Wednesday evening. Strong to gale force southeast to northeast winds
will develop ahead of this system with strong to gale force
northwesterlies in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Georges Bank, West Scotian Slope, eastern shore, Sable, Fourchu,
Banquereau, Laurentian Fan, Cabot Strait, Northumberland Strait,
Chaleur-Miscou, Gulf-Magdalen, and Anticosti.
