Issued 3:30 PM NST 18 January 2018 Tonight and Friday At 3:30 p.m. NST today deepening low 1000 mb located over eastern
Newfoundland.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Friday low 988 mb located east of Belle Isle Bank.

At 3:30 p.m. NST today deepening low 992 mb located southeast of
Cape Cod.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Friday low 985 mb located south of the Grand Banks.

By 3:30 p.m. NST Friday trough from 985 mb low located on a line
northeast-southwest over the southeastern Grand Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:20 PM NST 18 January 2018 A trough of low pressure associated with a developing low pressure
system lying southeast of Cape Cod will cross the Grand Banks Friday
morning. The low will continue eastward south of the Grand Banks
later Friday. Over the Southern Grand Banks, strong to gale force
southerlies will develop south of the trough tonight with strong
northeasterlies to its north. Winds will shift to gale force
northerlies on Friday as the low passes by south of the district.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for the
Southern Grand Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except Southwest Coast, South Coast, and the
Grand Banks.
