Issued 9:32 AM AST 13 February 2026 An area of low pressure north of Newfoundland will move slowlynorthward today and tonight. Strong to gale force northwesterly winds
in the wake of the low will gradually diminish tonight as the system
pulls further away from the district.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Banquereau - northeastern half, Cabot Strait, Gulf-Magdalen -
northeastern half, and Anticosti.
Marine interest are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Cabot Strait, Northumberland Strait, Gulf-Magdalen and
Anticosti.
