Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 10:00 AM NDT 10 October 2026 Today Tonight and Sunday At 10:00 a.m. NDT today trough located on a line east-west over
the Great Northern Peninsula.
By 10:00 a.m. NDT Sunday trough located southeast of the Grand
Banks.

At 10:00 a.m. NDT Sunday approaching ridge located over the
Maritimes.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 10:00 AM NDT 10 October 2026 A trough of low pressure will swing southeastwards across the
district today and tonight before departing to the southeast on
Sunday, as a ridge of high pressure slowly builds towards the
district from the west. Strong to gale force northwesterlies will
persist over most waters between these features.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Belle Isle Bank, Funk Island Bank, and the Southern Grand Banks.
