By 9:30 p.m. NDT tonight departing trough located east of Labrador
Sea.
At 9:30 p.m. NDT tonight trough located north of Labrador Sea.
By 9:30 p.m. NDT Friday trough located east of the East Labrador
Sea.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:54 AM NDT 16 April 2026 A trough of low pressure over the Northwest Labrador Sea will moveeastward to lie east of the Labrador Sea by this evening. Strong to
gale force southerlies will continue ahead of the trough, then shift
to strong to gale force northwesterlies in its wake.
A second trough of low pressure will sweep across the East Labrador
Sea tonight and Friday. Strong to gale force westerlies ahead of the
trough will shift to strong to gale force northwesterlies in its
wake.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
North Labrador Coast - north of Saglek, South Labrador Sea, Northwest
Labrador Sea, and East Labrador Sea.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Labrador Sea.
