Issued 4:00 AM PST 5 March 2021 Today Tonight and Saturday At 4:00 a.m. PST today departing low located off the Alaskapanhandle.
At 4:00 a.m. PST today low 994 mb located off Vancouver Island.
By 4:00 p.m. PST today high 990 mb located over eastern Queen
Charlotte Sound.
At 4:00 a.m. PST Saturday frontal system located off Bowie.
By 4:00 p.m. PST Saturday frontal system located over Haida Gwaii
extending southward.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:48 AM PST 5 March 2021 A low pressure centre off west coast Vancouver Island early thismorning will track northeastwards and move onto the Central Coast
late this afternoon. Ahead of the low, gale to storm force
southeasterlies has developed over west coast Vancouver Island and
will spread to the inner South Coast later this morning. Gale to
storm force winds will develop over Queen Charlotte Sound and the
Central Coast this afternoon as the low moves over. In its wake the
winds will shift to strong to gale force westerly.
Another front will move across BC waters on Saturday with gale to
storm force southerlies ahead of it and strong southwesterlies in its
wake.
