Freezing spray warning in effect.

Over open water moderate freezing spray ending this morning. Moderate at times severe freezing spray beginning this evening.

Temperatures minus 12 to minus 4 rising to minus 7 to plus 1 this evening then falling to minus 12 to minus 6 Thursday afternoon.

Issued 4:00 AM NST 24 January 2018 Today Tonight and Thursday At 4:00 a.m. NST today deepening low 988 mb located over northern
New Brunswick.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Thursday low 970 mb located over the Mid Labrador
Coast.

At 4:00 a.m. NST today ridge located over Labrador Coast.
By 9:30 a.m. NST today weakening ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over northern Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:57 AM NST 24 January 2018 A low pressure system will approach from the southwest today and
cross Southeastern Labrador this evening before moving into the
Southern Labrador Sea Thursday evening. Winds will increase to strong
to gale force easterlies ahead of the low and shift to gale to storm
force north to northwesterlies in its wake. A brief period of strong
to gale force southerlies is expected over southernmost waters
Thursday morning as the low passes.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Mid Labrador Coast, North Labrador Coast, South Labrador Sea,
Northwest Labrador Sea, and East Labrador Sea - northern half.
Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters except Lake
Melville.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for South Labrador Sea and Northwest Labrador Sea.
