By 9:30 p.m. NST tonight dissipating trough located on a line
east-west over the South Labrador Sea.
At 9:30 p.m. NST tonight intensifying trough located east of
Labrador Sea.
By 9:30 p.m. NST Saturday dissipating trough located east of
Labrador Sea.
At 9:30 a.m. NST Saturday ridge located over Quebec.
By 9:30 p.m. NST Saturday ridge located on a line north-south over
the Northwest Labrador Sea.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:24 AM NST 8 November 2024 A trough of low pressure will develop east of the Labrador Sea todaythen intensify tonight. Meanwhile a ridge of high pressure will
approach from Quebec on Saturday. Strong to gale force
northwesterlies can be expected across much of the district tonight
and Saturday between these features. Winds will diminish Saturday
evening as the trough dissipates and the ridge builds over the
Labrador Sea.
Marine interests are advised that a gale warning is in effect for
East Labrador Sea.
