By 8:00 a.m. PDT today dissipating low located over Vancouver
Island.
At 4:00 a.m. PDT today building ridge located west of Bowie.
By 4:00 p.m. PDT today ridge located on a line north-south over
Haida Gwaii.
At 4:00 p.m. PDT today approaching frontal system located west of
the offshore waters.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:51 AM PDT 6 June 2026 A low pressure system will move to lie over Vancouver Island thismorning. This system will provide conditions that are favourable for
the formation of waterspouts over the Strait of Georgia and the mouth
of Howe Sound this morning.
A frontal system moving in on Sunday will generate southerly gales
Sunday afternoon over northern and central waters. These southerly
gales will diminish early Monday morning as the frontal system moves
onto the mainland coast and dissipates.
