Snowfall with total amounts of 10 to 15 cm is expected. Where: Haines Junction, White Horse, Carcross, Atlin, Teslin, parts of the Alaska Highway west of Watson Lake, Highway 4 north of Watson Lake, Tuchitua. When: This evening to Sunday evening What: A strong frontal system arriving from the Pacific Ocean will bring snow, heavy at times, to parts of the southern Yukon. Snow is expected to begin accumulating near midnight, and should ease either late in the day or Sunday evening, depending on location. Roads and walkways will likely be difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Allow extra time for travel. If driving, turn on your lights, slow down and maintain a safe following distance. Remarks: A storm system is poised to cross the region, bringing heavy snow tonight and Sunday.
