A long period of snowfall with total amounts of 15 to 25 cm is expected. A band of heavy snow will push into west-central Saskatchewan beginning Monday night. Generally, 10-15 cm of snow is expected on Tuesday, with an additional 5-10 cm on Wednesday. A swath northwest of Meadow Lake may see 30-40 cm of total snow accumulation. The snow will slowly taper off through the night on Wednesday. Travel will likely be challenging. There may be a significant impact on rush hour traffic. Visibility will likely be reduced at times. Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Snowfall warnings are issued when significant impacts are expected due to snowfall accumulations.
