When: Now through early Sunday morning Where: - Stuart - Nechako - Prince George - McGregor - Yellowhead - Chilcotin near Anahim Lake and Nimpo Lake - Bulkley Valley and the Lakes District Additional information: A vigorous low pressure system passing through northern B.C. will bring strong southwest to westerly winds beginning this evening. The Yellowhead region may experience strong northwesterly winds during overnight Wind gusts of 70 to 90 km/h are expected, with gusts possibly exceeding 90 km/h in exposed areas. These strong winds will persist overnight and ease Sunday morning. Local utility outages are possible. High-sided vehicles will be pushed around by the wind. There is a risk of injury due to flying or falling debris. Secure loose objects. Prepare for possible disruptions to transportation, services, and utilities. Wind warnings are issued when there is a significant risk of damaging winds. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
