SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT

Strong southwesterly winds gusting up to 80 km/h are expected. When: Late today through tonight Where: Parts of the BC interior including: Similkameen, Nicola, South Thompson, Fraser Canyon, Chilcotin, Lakes District, Stuart-Nechako, Prince George and Yellowhead. The Coquihalla Highway, Highway 3 - Hope to Princeton Highway and Yellowhead Highway will also be affected. Additional information: A strong Pacific frontal system will move through the interior bringing gusty southwesterly winds today and tonight. Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions. Road conditions are available at drivebc.ca.
