A winter storm is expected. What: Total snow and ice pellets accumulation of 15 to 20 centimetres over a 24-hour period. Strong winds reaching between 50 and 70 kilometres per hour. Blowing snow conditions resulting in significantly reduced visibilities. Freezing rain amounts of 2 to 5 mm. When: Wednesday evening to Thursday evening. Where: Minganie, Natashquan and the Lower North Shore. Additional information: Precipitation will start as snow and will be accompanied by local blowing snow. Afterwards, in some areas, snow will change to freezing rain on Thursday afternoon. Travel will likely be challenging. Road closures are possible.
