YELLOW ADVISORY - BLOWING SNOW

Impact Level: Moderate

Forecast Confidence: High

Poor visibility in snow and blowing snow is expected in some locations. Falling snow combined with strong easterly wind gusts of up to 70 km/h will reduce visibility in blowing snow through southern Saskatchewan beginning overnight Monday. These strong winds will spread eastward Tuesday morning. The winds will begin to diminish Tuesday evening. Travel will likely be hazardous due to near-zero visibility. Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve. Blowing snow advisories are issued when widespread poor visibility in blowing snow is expected. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to SKstorm@ec.gc.ca, call 1-800-239-0484 or post reports on X using #SKStorm.
