Blowing snow will develop through the morning into midday. Fresh snow combined with winds gusting up to 60 km/h are likely to result in widespread blowing snow over open terrain. Conditions will improve by noon for much of the region, but the winds and blowing snow may linger into the afternoon for areas near the Trans-Canada Highway and south. Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve. If driving, turn on your lights, slow down and maintain a safe following distance.
