YELLOW WARNING - SNOWFALL
Impact Level: Moderate
Forecast Confidence: High
Snowfall with total amounts of 15 to 25 cm is expected. Where: Highway 3 Kootenay Pass. When: Beginning this afternoon; lasting until late tomorrow night. Remarks: Falling freezing levels will accompany an influx of moisture today as a low pressure system crosses the province from northwest to southeast. Travel will likely be challenging. Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions. Allow extra time for travel. If driving, turn on your lights, slow down and maintain a safe following distance. The site shiftintowinter.ca reminds drivers to know before you go.
