Rain, at times heavy, is expected. What: Rainfall amounts near 120 mm. When: Late this afternoon to early Monday afternoon. Where: West Vancouver Island. Remarks: While light to moderate rainfall occurs this morning, a stronger frontal system will arrive this afternoon bringing significant rain to the west coast of Vancouver Island. The heaviest rain will be tonight with a southwesterly flow raising freezing levels to near 2800 metres overnight. Rain will ease on Monday afternoon as the system moves off. Water will likely pool on roads and in low-lying areas. Don't drive through flooded roadways. Allow extra time for travel. Watch for washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.
