Heavy rain on tap. Duration: from Monday evening to Wednesday morning. Location: North Shore Threats: Heavy rainfall is expected for roughly 36 hours. The Baie-Comeau and Manicouagan areas will get between 50 and 80 millimetres of rain. In Sept-Îles and Port-Cartier, total rainfall amounts of 80 to 120 millimetres are expected. The rain will fall in earnest Tuesday evening and continue through Wednesday morning. Heavy downpours may cause flash flooding and ponding on roads. Context: a low pressure system will move slowly across the Maritimes and Eastern Quebec and may linger for a few days. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
