When: Monday morning through Monday night Where: Highway 3 (Mainly near Kootenay pass) Additional information: A strong Pacific frontal system brings heavy snow followed by rain and wind to Kootenay Pass beginning early Monday lasting through Monday night. Snowfall amounts are expected to be around 25cm near Kootenay Pass in the day. Rainfall and strong winds follow in the night. Travel will likely be challenging. Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions. Allow extra time for travel. The site shiftintowinter.ca reminds drivers to know before you go.
