SNOWFALL WARNING

Snowfall Warning in effect for:
  • Highway 3 - Paulson Summit to Kootenay Pass

Snowfall with total amounts of 15 to 20 cm is expected. When: Friday morning till Saturday morning Where: Highway 3 (Near Kootenay Pass) Additional information: A band of snow is expected to establish itself over Highway 3 starting Friday morning and will bring snowfall amounts of up to 15 cm on Friday near Kootenay Pass. An additional 10-15 cm near the pass is expected overnight with the snow tapering off Saturday morning as the snow turns to rain showers. Visibility will likely be reduced at times. Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions. Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Allow extra time for travel. If driving, turn on your lights, slow down and maintain a safe following distance. The site shiftintowinter.ca reminds drivers to know before you go.     • Go to the desired page on the site, open the Weather shortcuts menu and click on the "Add to shortcuts" button
    • Page name will display in the "Add this page" window, the name can be changed by highlighting the text and entering the desired name
