Areas of freezing drizzle are expected. Locations: parts of northern, central, and eastern Newfoundland, as well as the northern Avalon Peninsula. Time span: until Thursday morning. Remarks: Freezing drizzle will become widespread this evening as temperatures fall after sunset, at times mixing with light snow. Precipitation will transition to all snow on Thursday as a weather system approaches from the south. Icy surfaces will likely form and could be difficult to detect.
