Significant snowfall is expected. Locations: Avalon Peninsula North, Clarenville, Terra Nova, Connaigre, and the Bonavista and Burin Peninsulas. Potential snowfall: 10 to 20 cm, with higher amounts possible. Potential wind gusts: northeasterly to northwesterly near 90 km/h. Time span: Monday evening until early Tuesday morning. Remarks: While the precise location of the heaviest snowfall remains uncertain, significant accumulations are likely in some areas. Strong winds in combination with the fresh snowfall will also lead to reduced visibility in blowing snow. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
