Time span: late this evening and overnight. Maximum wind gusts: northwesterly 80 km/h except 100 to 110 along parts of the coast (strongest near midnight on the Burin Peninsula and after midnight on the northern Avalon Peninsula). Travel will likely be hazardous due to near-zero visibility. Blowing snow advisories are issued when widespread poor visibility in blowing snow is expected.
