This afternoon and this evening, conditions are favourable for the development of dangerous thunderstorms capable of producing very strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain. There is also a slight risk of a tornado. Nautical activities may be hazardous due to sudden, severe wind gusts over bodies of water. When thunder roars, go indoors! Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Heavy rain can cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility. Strong wind gusts can damage trees, buildings and overturn vehicles.
