Very cold weather is forecast this weekend. The weather will be windy until Saturday and wind chill values will reach almost -35 overnight. Extreme cold puts everyone at risk. Dress warmly. Dress in layers that you can remove if you get too warm. The outer layer should be wind resistant. If it’s too cold for you to stay outside, it’s too cold for your pet to stay outside. Cold warnings are issued when very cold temperatures or wind chill creates an elevated risk to health such as frost bite and hypothermia. Where: The Lower Laurentians, Greater Montreal, Montérégie and Eastern Townships. Additional information: Powdery snow will be easily carried by winds resulting in reduced visibilities. Cold temperatures combined with snow will make surfaces slippery. Allow extra time for your commute on Monday morning during rush hour.
