Snow squalls are expected. What: Snowfall amounts of 20 to 40 cm. Locally higher amounts possible. Significantly reduced visibility in heavy snow and local blowing snow. When: Dissipating this morning. Redevelopment is expected later tonight or Monday and ending Monday night. Additional information: Lake effect snow off Georgian Bay is affecting the area this morning. The activity will likely persist for much of the day although it may weaken somewhat. Snowfall amounts of up to 15 cm or so are possible today in some areas. The lake effect snow is expected to strengthen again late tonight or Monday morning with additional accumulations of 15 to 25 cm possible. Westerly winds gusting up to 60 km/h Monday will result in areas of blowing snow giving reduced visibility. Visibility will likely be suddenly reduced to near zero at times. Roads and walkways will likely be difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Road closures are possible. Consider postponing non-essential travel and outdoor activities until conditions improve.
