Snow squalls continue today. What: Additional snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 cm. Significantly reduced visibility in heavy snow and local blowing snow. When: Continuing into this evening. Additional information: Strong wind gusts of 60 km/h will lead to low visibilities in blowing snow. The blowing snow will be most pronounced in open and wind exposed areas. Travel will likely be hazardous. Visibility will likely be suddenly reduced to near zero at times. Roads and walkways will likely be difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Additional information: Bitterly cold conditions will persist through the day and into tonight, with wind chills near minus 30 to minus 33. Daytime temperatures will remain cold with the brisk winds, followed by falling temperatures this evening. Extreme cold puts everyone at risk. Watch for cold related symptoms: shortness of breath, chest pain, muscle pain and weakness, numbness and colour change in fingers and toes. Cover up.
