Gusty winds and brief periods of reduced visibility in lake effect flurries. What: Brief periods of reduced visibility due to lake effect flurries and blowing snow. Strong winds gusting to 70 km/h. When: Easing later this morning. Additional information: Strong westerly winds are expected to slowly diminish later this morning. In addition, lake effect flurries off Lake Huron and Georgian Bay are expected to extend well inland at times and may give brief periods of poor visibility due to heavier snow and blowing snow. Snowfall accumulations are not expected to be significant. Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Strong winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break. Local utility outages are possible. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
