Strong southwesterly wind gusts are expected. Where: Boundary, West Kootenay, Kootenay Lake, East Kootenay, Elk Valley and Yoho Park - Kootenay Park. When: Wednesday. Remarks: A vigorous cold front will move across the BC interior tonight. In the wake of the front, strong southwesterly wind gusts will develop over these regions on Wednesday morning. These strong winds may lead to possible tree damages, local power outages and travel delay. Winds will ease late Wednesday afternoon or early Wednesday evening as the front tracks eastward.
