Near zero visibility in fog is expected or occurring. Where: - Metro Vancouver, Southern Gulf Islands, East Vancouver Island, Inland Vancouver Island, Sunshine Coast. When: This morning. Remark: A ridge of high pressure over southern B.C. is creating favourable conditions for dense fog development. Fog is expected to lift by late this morning but may linger near the water through this afternoon. Fog and low cloud may reform this evening. Visibility may be significantly and suddenly reduced to near zero. Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance. Fog advisories are issued when near zero visibilities in fog are expected or occurring.
