Severe thunderstorms likely tonight over portions of Southern Saskatchewan.

This is an alert to the potential development of severe thunderstorms with large hail and damaging winds.

An approaching disturbance combined with moist and unstable air will cause thunderstorms over Southern Saskatchewan tonight, some possibly severe. Late this afternoon isolated slow moving thunderstorms where occurring over portions of Southern Saskatchewan giving localized heavy rainfall and large hail. These thunderstorms are expected to gradually weaken later this evening. Another round of severe thunderstorm activity will move into Extreme Southwestern Saskatchewan this evening then gradually spread eastward into Southeastern Saskatchewan overnight.
