Freezing rain warning in effect for:

  • La Minerve - Rouge River area
  • Mont-Laurier area

Up to 10 millimetres of freezing precipitation is forecast in these areas.

The freezing rain is expected to begin this afternoon in the westernmost regions, and should reach the Quebec City area this evening and the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region by Saturday morning.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots will become icy, slippery and hazardous. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions.

Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.
