Heat Warning in effect for:

  • La Minerve - Rouge River area
  • Mont-Laurier area

Exceptionnally hot and humid conditions will continue over Southwestern and Central Quebec overnight tonight with lows between 16 and 20 degrees offering no relief. Wednesday, daytime highs will range from 26 to 29 degrees with humidex values between 34 and 37.

The passage of a cold front with thunderstorms late Wednesday will allow a gradual return to seasonal temperatures.

Temperatures on Friday and Saturday morning could be especially cool with a potential for frost in some regions.

The risks are greater for young children, pregnant women, older adults, people with chronic illnesses and people working or exercising outdoors.

Reduce your heat risk. Schedule outdoor activities during the coolest parts of the day.

Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature or humidity conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
